Gamescom: Team NINJA Reveals Dead Or Alive 5 PCs Brad Wong, Eliot

Everything old is new again in the world of Dead or Alive 5, as Team NINJA has made a big reveal at GamesCon of two of the new playable characters in the latest iteration, and those two characters are some returning fan favorites.

Brad Wong, the Zui Quan (drunken boxing) master, was first introduced in Dead or Alive 3, where he had been tasked by his master to find “the legendary drink called Genra.” Having also fought in the fourth tournament, now, in DOA5, it appears he has found the mysterious wine.

Eliot, originally sixteen in Dead or Alive 4, is the apprentice to original DOA fighter Gen Fu, and he makes a return in DOA5, still specializing in Xing Yi Quan (loosely translated as “force boxing”). There is no further information released, but he and Brad Wong share a connection: in DOA4, Eliot confesses to Brad Wong he is unsure why Gen Fu selected the young Brit to be his apprentice.

Dead or Alive 5 drops on XBox 360 and Playstation 3 next month.

Avatar of Ryan Bates
Ryan Bates is a native of Southern California currently in a love/hate relationship with Las Vegas, Nevada. (It's complicated.) Ryan is a Nintendiehard but does not discriminate against other consoles. He is also involved with the growing Gaymer movement. When not gaming, Ryan enjoys boxing, trying out new foods, and theme parks, and has a sick yet totally radical fascination with '80s and '90s pop culture.
