It’s kind of difficult to start a story about Zumba without admitting some truths about it: girls look hot doing it, and guys look stupid. But hot or not, the success stories are out there in spades: do a Google search for “Zumba success” and your search is flooded with stories from a quick 10 pounds to squeeze into a bridesmaid’s dress to whole life transformations thanks to the Latin aerobic dance exercise class.
So it should come as no surprise that while gamers may turn their nose at it, Zumba Fitness, the first title based on the exercise craze from Majesco Entertainment, flew off the shelves for the PS3 Move, XBox 360 with Kinect, and Wii.
Wednesday, Majesco Entertainment released details on their follow-up project, called Zumba Fitness Core, designed to attack the abdominal muscles to take people from six-packs of beer to six-pack abs.
One of the key elements to Zumba has been the high-energy music hand-selected for workouts. Majesco released a partial list of the tracks that will be included in Zumba Fitness Core, including the rockin’ tune you hear right now from Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, “Paris (Ooh La La).” Other tracks will feature Pitbull, The Donnas, Tiesto, and the newest track from Sean Paul, “Roll Wid Di Don.”
Zumba Fitness Core will start breaking a sweat for Wii and XBox 360 with Kinect in October 2012. Here is the full list of tracks released Wednesday included in the game:
