Crysis 3 May Be Ported to Wii U After All

Though stances on the partnership have been more negative in the past, there’s evidence now that Crytek, the developers of the upcoming sequel Crysis 3 may show up on the upcoming Wii U after all.

Asked about it in May, Crytek’s director of creative development Rasmus Hojengaard said that they were “not really talking about that now.” However, they may be backpedaling on that stance, according to Crysis 3 producer Mike Read in a recent interview with CVG.

“I wouldn’t rule it out, but there has really been no official releases associated with the Wii U yet,” said Read, “and given that we’re releasing Crysis in an eight month time period in February of 2013, we can’t play off of what their schedules are. I wouldn’t rule it out, but you know, it is a possibility.”

Read even went as far to say that the team could “definitely say that we are working with Nintendo, and that’s about all I can say on that front.”

Crysis 3, published by EA, is currently slotted for an early 2013 release for PS3, XBox 360, and PC.

Would love to see this game ported over to the Wii U. That reminds me…never played the first one and I need to do that too. Either downloading the XBLA re-release or the original PC version; now that my PC is beefed up.
