The Fez patch is back on XBLA. However, it’s not the patch fans are hoping for.
Polytron announced that the patch is the original patch is back on the service, the one that can sometimes corrupt less than one percent of overall players saves.
The company said the reason the patch isn’t updated is that it would cost “tens of thousands of dollars” to get the game re-certified by Microsoft.
“Had Fez been released on Steam instead of XBLA,” posts Polytron, “the game would have been fixed two weeks after release, at no cost to us.”
The company later added on Twitter that the exclusivity on XBLA is up in a few months.
