Names are a powerful literary tool that are often more than meets the eye. For instance, a character’s name may be interpreted as revealing certain details about their personality or could foreshadow what happens to them later on in the narrative. In the case of Hitman: Absolution, though, the name being used to describe a group of individuals is being implemented as irony. The Saints may sound pleasant based on their moniker alone, but their intentions are anything but.
The International Contract Agency file series, a collection of promotional videos designed to promote IO Interactive’s upcoming title, this week highlights a new group and a voice actor that will be making their presence known in the highly-anticipated release. The Saints are a consortium of extremely lethal assassins led by a character being voiced by Vivica A. Fox (Kill Bill, Batman & Robin).
Hitman: Absolution will be released globally for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on November 20, 2012.
